Alyssa Moss

Alyssa Moss is the 17 year old daughter of Jessica Moss and Bryant Moss. This 5’ 3” Blue eyed blonde is a senior at Philip Barbour High school from Belington.

Alyssa is the president of the Class of 2024 and has been for the 4 years. She was the 2021 Character Award winner. She is on the A-honor roll and a Principals Honor Roll receiver. She holds a 4.1 – 4.0 GPA. She was an invited member of Rhododendron Girls State of 2023. There she was the Speaker of the House and was recognized an Outstanding citizen. She was the speaker of the house at the first ever joint legislative session with Boys and Girls State at the Capitol. Her community involvement includes worked at Nolan Trends in Belington, volunteering at BES helping teachers in their classrooms, worked on starting a SASH Club at PBHS, and worked on local school improvement council at PBHS.

Her hobbies include reading, writing, learning about local and national political events, spending time with friends and family, going camping, and listening to Taylor Swift.  

Three words to describe her charismatic, outgoing, ambitious.

After graduation Alyssa plans to attend Marshall or WVU to study political science and criminal justice as a pre-law major, then hopefully law school.

Her favorite thing about Barbour County is “I personally love the close-knit community we have and the way we work together to create better experiences and growth for all who live here.”

She believes she should be the next Miss Barbour County because she would work to strengthen relationships though the county, find ways to expand to younger generations as we grow, and shine light on our beautiful community, we have in Barbour County.
