Sarah is the daughter of Scott Jones of Philippi and Wendy Hardesty of Volga.  She is 21 years old and is 5’8” tall with blue eyes and brown hair.  A graduate of Philip Barbour High School, she currently attends Alderson Broaddus University where she is a Junior and is majoring in nursing.  Her plans for the future include obtaining her nursing degree and working in pediatrics or labor and delivery.   

Sarah has been a girls youth softball coach and enjoys fishing, camping, baking, and painting.  Three words to describe Sarah are trustworthy, loyal, and hardworking.   

Sarah’s favorite thing about Barbour County is “that it is my home.  No matter where I go, I can always come back to Barbour County to people I know who will love and support me”!  Sarah wants to be Miss Barbour County because “I want to be a role model for younger generations and to show them it is okay to step out of your comfort zone and be whatever you want”.
