Carrie is 17 years old and is a Senior at Philip Barbour High School.  She is 5’6” tall with blonde hair and green eyes.  At Philip Barbour she is on the swim team, runs track and is a cheerleader.  She is a member of Future Farmers of America and Future Business Leaders of America, where she achieved 2nd place in the state competition and won a chance to attend the National competition. 

Carrie lists her hobbies as horseback riding, fishing, archery, showing horses and running.  Three words to describe her are willful, versatile and soft hearted.  After graduation from Philip Barbour, Carrie plans to attend the College of the Ozarks in Missouri to major in human and molecular biology with a minor in zoology.  She is a member of the Barbour County 4 -H Equestrian team where she serves as President.   

The reason Carrie gives as wanting to be the next Miss Barbour County is: “I was raised in this county and have enjoyed everything Barbour County has to offer.  If I am honored with the title and the crown, I will strive to be an inspiring role model for the youth of this county.” 

Carrie’s favorite thing about Barbour County is the warm, hometown feeling and the welcoming people here.  It is a place where even strangers can feel like family.
